Holiday cottage for October cancelled?!

Got an email last night cancelling our holiday cottage in Aberdeen for October?!! Have emailed the company and am awaiting reply but am surprised this has happened.

Why?

Why am I surprised or why has it been cancelled? The email said it was because of the outbreak and I’m surprised because that’s 8 months away

Better to know now, surely?

That seems a bit overcautious. Maybe the owner has moved in to it or something.

Absolutely but I wasn’t going to cancel it as it was so far away and was hoping things might be a bit better by then! Maybe I’m being too optimistic but it was something to look forward to

@FaFoutis possibly, my sister stays up there so was going to visit her, it’s a cottage which is part of an estate

I think it is reasonable. It wont be gone by then

@Nomorepoliticsplease you’re right it may not be but as another poster said it’s a bit over cautious surely Better to wait and see how things play out over the summer?

Sigh of relief, email back said it was an error so a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel for a little longer 🤞🏻
