Hi all just wondering if anyone has received text messages from the GOV this morning regarding coronavirus and staying at home! I didn’t feel anyone in my house was classed as high risk now I am worried it is me or one of my two children and someone is going to die Sad

I have rung 111 and my GP for advice but no one can tell me.. we have been self isolating since the 13th March

Some people have, don't worry. It only says stay at home. Off the phone!

Cacaca · 24/03/2020 10:10

I think the whole country is due to get this text message according to the news earlier. I haven’t received it yet.

lubeybooby · 24/03/2020 10:10

no ones gonna die, just keep isolating

you shouldn't be ringing 111 unless you actually have a health problem occurring right now

surely you must know if you or your kids have a high risk condition or not and if not then it must have been a wrong number

Mammabee20 · 24/03/2020 10:11

I just panicked because I have a premature son who only got a clean bill of health and started to put on weight early March so for something to happen to him now would kill me Sad

Yes I just got it

dementedpixie · 24/03/2020 10:11

Everybody is supposed to get the stay at home text

PestyMachtubernahme · 24/03/2020 10:12

There has been rumours that they are trying to set up a national network for emergency messages. If they succeed, everyone will get a message from their network provider, telling them to stay home.

Why did you call 111?
They are quite busy at the moment

msbevvy · 24/03/2020 10:12

The one for high risk people comes from the NHS and starts with

NHS Coronavirus Service: We have identified that you're someone at risk of severe illness if you catch Coronavirus. Please remain at home for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Danglingmod · 24/03/2020 10:13

This message is for everyone. Stay at home. They're texting everybody.

dementedpixie · 24/03/2020 10:14

This is the government text that is to go to everyone

I rung 111 because I have a premature son who has been in and out of hospital since January.. he wasn’t gaining weight and passing bowel movements and as his parent I would get any contact for him so I was worried that as he has now turned a corner and he has put on weight something might happen to him and he might die.. this has been my fear since they told me in Christmas Eve that he was small and then again two weeks later when they told me that he had not grown at all and that he was going to be born early

Please don't worry about the text, it is being sent to everyone. I've even had it on my work mobile.

ivegotthisyeah · 24/03/2020 10:50

I did this morning, three young kids single mum - no underlying health issues. It's a standard text nothing to be worried about x

Frownette · 24/03/2020 10:50

It's ok, it's a generic text. Nothing to do with your son.

It's not a personal message.

cinammonbuns · 24/03/2020 10:51

As has been said many times on here, babies are at much less risk than all other age groups. There has been no reports of anyone under 9 dying. I think you need help for your anxiety.

Tiredmum100 · 24/03/2020 11:05

I've literally just had the message too. It's being sent to everyone.
