3 weeks?

Does anyone believe that lockdown could be lifted in three weeks?

I know it's all guess work, but I'm intrigued to see others opinions.

I have a feeling he said this to avoid mass panic which is fair enough.

If the restrictions impose are shown to have a positive effect on our ever climbing infected and death number then restrictions will be lifted over time. But it won't be business as usual. Merely changing from 'you can exercise once a day' to be 'exercise twice a day' - we will still be expected to follow the isolation and social distancing for at least 12 weeks in my honest opinion

all other countries lockdowns are getting extended so I expect ours to be too

No I don't think 3 weeks is long enough.

Three weeks is to review whether it has any impact on the numbers or not. They need at least two weeks for any brewing infections to either become critical or resolve and then an extra week to monitor cases that have resulted from contact with those people. I think it will be extended.

Judging by my fucking ridiculous workplace this morning there’s a potential for at least 80 people to potentially have picked up an infection this past week (they knowingly didn’t enforce a 14 day isolation period for someone with a family member under the previous 7 day rule).
