My mum is coughing

I am sure I have it, been coughing all week and am obviously self isolating. When i spoke to mum this morning she was coughing. I'm in the queue to the dr now but not sure what to say.

She's 85, has dementia and addisons, she doesn't understand the situation.

I have let her carers know but do I need to let her Dr know, book a telephone consult?

I'm scared now

You're doing all you can, wait to see what doctor says

I'm worried that I'm wasting their time but I don't know what to do

I don't think you're wasting their time due to her age and you have some symptoms, but they'd be able to advise on course of action.

Well i didn't get past reception, was lovely and recommended waiting. That Dr would recommend 111 and would be told to self isolate which isn't possible. Have left instructions to call me if she is still coughing, I'll request they take her temperature

You do need to self isolate it's against the law not to
What's stopping you?
If you need shopping or anything you must get someone to get it for you

She is self isolating Maddy.

Best wishes to you and your mum lem.
