I'm very pleased about the new restrictions although I think they should have also cut down public transport eg only key workers allowed to travel.

Do you think it will work? Will we see numbers of cases start to come down? Or will we still see a huge rise of cases? Are we still '2 weeks behind Italy'?

Huge rise in cases first. Everyone who has caught the virus in the past 2 weeks have yet to show symptoms and be diagnosed. Hopefully after 2-3 weeks ot should stabilise before dropping. Look at China and Italy for a pattern of what's to come. Also France and Switzerland have now been in lockdown for just over a week.

There is still going to be a huge rise. People infected yesterday will take 5 to 14 days to become ill, probably 5+ days to need hospital care (those that do) and several weeks to die (those that will) or a few more weeks than that to recover.
