I'm a front line NHS clinicians so no issues with going to work (although I would rather stay isolating at home with 3 dc) .

Dh is a tradesman, not utilities such as electrician/plumber but other ie. Like a Carpenter/painter etc

He has spoken to his boss and is expected to go to work for repairs in an unused warehouse. There will be lots of other tradespeople there working too.

My sense is that it's a lockdown and everyone except essential staff should stay at home. However, he is expected to go in.

Has anyone got any further information on this?

No he shouldn't be going - none of them should. If it was critical repairs on say a care home or similar facility thats different. This is non-urgent, inessential work. I'd anonymously report his employer if I were you

I'm in a similar position as you OP. I am an nhs nurse. Dh works in IT. He can work from home but his company has said no- everyone must go in today. The company he works for is an essential company to stay open to produce food, but surely you think those in the company who can work from home should be allowed? 🤷🏼‍♀️
