I’m due to give birth soon and am ordering lots of baby stuff online. It’s all arriving in cardboard boxes and is stacking up in my hallway.

My home is small with very little storage space, and I’m keen to open up the boxes and see what has arrived. However, I’ve heard that coronavirus can live on hard surfaces for up to 72 hours and am wary about touching the parcels until 72 hours have elapsed.

Is leaving them to mount up by the front door the right thing to do or am I being overly paranoid?

Wear gloves and open them? Then dispose at recycling and disinfect everything.
