Just that. Be patient - these are confusing times and people are anxious.

There are people who don't know the rules and there are some people who are just trolling with stupid questions. Don't forget that the trolls haven't suddenly disappeared.

Ignore those you think are trolls. Then you won’t accidentally distress someone who is just a scared and perhaps isolated mum.

Absolutely.

I just posted similar on another thread.

Unkindness and name calling is inexcusable.

Be tolerant as well as kind. I've repeated to my kids since they were old enough to understand, kindness and tolerance should be your best qualities.

Everyone is a little stressed. Everyone is working things out, getting shocked , getting scared. It's hard to be calm especially if you are vulnerable in some way...so give and take all round?

A scared mum wouldn't be writing multiple posts in the Coronavirus threads giving totally different jobs for their DH whilst trying to whip up anger towards schools (for example).

There needs to be kindness and understanding on the whole, and there's no need to be nasty, but equally people seeking validation for their selfishness shouldn't be expected a pat on the back.

FredaFrogspawn · 24/03/2020 08:49

Then report them.

I do report them. There's no point giving them what they want so I tend to reply in good faith, including pointing out what the guidance is, and report as well.
