Hospital visiting

I have a very ill relative who is hospitalised (not from Coronavirus) does anyone know if the restrictions include visiting those in hospital as I can see no mention in the restrictions we have been advised about tonight about going to hospitals as visitors.

At our local hospital it's restricted to one visitor only per bed and only between a specified time slot.

Most trusts have banned visitors altogether.

Unless the patient is (probably) in the last day or hours of life. In which case one visitor at a time is allowed.

The hospital I work in is certainly doing this.

My hospital trust has banned all visitors apart from end of life and maternity.

Thanks, everyone. I guess it's probably best to call the hospital tomorrow.

Lausch95, that was the case today in the hospital and has been for about a week 1 visitor per day for 1 hour only. There is so much not included in the current restrictions and so much feels open to interpretation.

I wouldn’t call, they’ll be super busy atm. Look on the website instead.

Out Trust has also banned visitors except actively dying patients, one birth partner or just one parent for children and neonatal. Harsh, but needed to be done I’m afraid.

Ours is 1 visitor with restricted hours.
