I doubt it, which means a lot of animals that need to go to kennels or shelters are about to be in trouble.

You mean like boarding kennels and daycare?

Rescue places will remain open but I suspect most privately owned boarding, daycare and walking businesses will suspend operations.

But what will happen to dogs whose owners are stuck abroad?

What about stables? The animals places are tricky - pet stores even! Like they are not essential but the animals need feeding!

No, my dog carers have just emailed to say they're closed from immediate effect.

If someone is stuck overseas, this changes nothing Confused

Our dog walkers have just emailed to say they are still going as they think exercising dogs for those in isolation is essential

I would be very unimpressed by a business that continues to operate. Driving dogs about between houses is guaranteed infection transferral.

But a kennel where a dog is staying for a few weeks?
