Would you offer to help

Next door neighbour single parent. Works in a food factory. Drops her daughter at breakfast club to get to work for 8am. Breakfast club has now closed. Other circumstances I'd offer to help without hesitation. I know we're meant to be sticking to our own families and for good reason. I just feel awful not offering to help when I'm just sat here not doing anything

That's a tough one isn't it. I personally wouldn't do it but we have got family members on the vulnerable list.

Sittingonthefence83 · 23/03/2020 22:45

I think I personally would offer.

I have done, it was on my mind all evening. Sent her a message asking what her employer have said and if she gets stuck can leave her with me

I think the right thing to do and a moral balance of personal risk and the need to support others. Well done.

Petetongue · 24/03/2020 10:59

That's very nice of you. I think its the kind if thing others will be furious about, but what do you do, like you say, if you arent on the vulnerable list you are sitting doing nothing. Its a difficult one.

SnoozyLou · 24/03/2020 12:34

I think it was a nice thing to do.

Spied · 24/03/2020 12:36

I'm sad to say this but I wouldn't take the riskSad

sillysmiles · 24/03/2020 12:37

I think you made the right decision.
