Animal care/food

I have horses, they live half a mile or so away, rural area. I don't have enough food to last 3 week's, and need to go there twice a day, every day . One has a health problem.

I know this is the least of most people's worries, but I'm wondering how I manage. Where they live is just them, no other people visiting, not a livery yard. I don't see anyone while there. A couple or cars might drive past .

It's really quite isolated though there are a few farm cottages nearby. Not going to come within about 100m of anyone at any time.

Is the feed shop essential?

I would hope this counts as essential care. You'd just be driving there, caring for and feeding them, and then going home without mingling with anyone else.

I’m hoping the feed shop will be essential to but most deliver as well so you could probably get a delivery.
I will also be continuing to check my livestock and some of them are quite a distance away but very very isolated so I won’t see anyone.

Our local police on their facebook have said this is ok-we’ll be doing the same. We are very rural and horses are 6 miles from home. On a yard but we are doing a rota to ensure not all there together.
As for feed-should be available but suppose it may depend on the retailer. I bought 2 months worth in at the weekend as was afraid of running out.

One of my little dogs is on vital heart meds. She sees the vet every month fior a checkup & her pills. They rang me last week to say my next appointment had been moved from their hospital in town to a tiny , outlying surgery in a nearby village with just my particular vet there. I’m hoping this will still be allowed.

Thanks, I don't have much feed storage space, and there us a anal local feed shop that gets in what I need. Feel slightly less panicked now.

I assume people will still be able to care for the animals in zoos and sanctuaries? I hope that's included under essential work.
