You won't be the first....
If we are all put on lockdown and complete isolation for the required amount of time how much will this significantly reduce our risks of contracting the virus. How soon could it be eradicated

I dont think isolation is intended or can eradicate it. The idea is that we dont all get it once so have better chances re treatment if needed. The more time passing leads us nearer to a vaccine and more venilators hopefully.

No way of knowing this. Too many variables and the relies on the assumption that everyone will follow the advice. Scientists will most likely be working with approximations anyway. It might never be eradicated, but there will certainly be a vaccine available within 12-18 months?

Well logically if everyone stayed at home for a month or so and didn’t leave home, it would be totally eradicated. Potentially even a couple of weeks would do it. Because if you’ve no longer got it, you can’t pass it on.
