End Maternity Leave this Week

Hi all, my first post here. My maternity leave finishes at the end of this week, however with the coronavirus issues going on I have no one able to look after my daughter and so will be unable to go back, my question is, what should I do? I have also had to back to work meeting yet to arrange new hours etc as I wouldn't be doing full time anymore, and want to leave after the 'payback' period finishes.

Can anybody advise on what I should do with not being able to go in currently as I have no one to look after her.
Also posted in Back To Work as wasnt sure.

What sort of job is it?

LittleTwiglet · 23/03/2020 16:33

I do counter sales and office work combined, in the builders trade

Contact your manager and HR asap and let them know the situation. They might allow you to use back-holiday or work from home.

It might be a job that is asked to close imminently due to coronavirus. I'm in Scotland and non essential work not involving food and medicines have been asked to stop.

Ah okay, I didnt think of the place itself closing, though it does make sense as surely there shouldn't be building works taking place during distancing.

So, apparently hardware is still open as builders/construction is still happening, so I'm now unsure as to where I stand with speaking to work...
