Unable to work from home

Hi!

I work for a charity, key worker but choosing to keep my children at home.

My work cannot be done from home- I work in the charity warehouse. Because if CV my work has changed and my main job is now delivering parcels of donated second hand goods to our clients. We're a small charity and we have to be adaptable to many different jobs so I don't mind that. We've been told we could even take our children with us in the car to deliver.

I want to WFH. I am worried and want to self isolate as much as possible. I've been reading the virus can live for three days on the cardboard the donations come packed in. And I don't want to take my children out with that in the car.

What are my options? Can I request to be furlonged on 80% pay?

Thank you.

Thought cardboard was 24 hours

If you don’t have an underlying health condition and wash your hands after handling parcels it sounds like your job is one of the safest in the U.K.
