I cannot believe that some of the neighbours are allowing the kids to play together!! At least four houses have allowed the kids out playing on bikes, play ball etc
Are they oblivious to what is going on!! Shocked!!
My two have been in and will not be allowed out apart from the back garden of course which we are privileged to have when some people don't even have one!
Just gobsmacked by people!!

Ffs, same here! Quiet cul de sac, adults also stood around, a family member or friend of one particularly idiotic neighbour is spluttering and coughing whilst talking to another neighbour, no-one seems concerned. Fucking morons. I thought so beford but this has just confirmed to be honest!

adaline · 23/03/2020 14:32

Because some people are monumentally stupid.

BlessYourCottonSocks · 23/03/2020 14:34

This is why I suspect lockdown is coming. Too many people are either inherently stupid, or don't think the rules apply to them.

sunshineandshowers21 · 23/03/2020 14:36

same around here. today my 12 year old has had numerous texts from friends asking if he was coming out, and two kids (7&5!) who live on the street next to us have knocked on our door and asked if my 6 year old was allowed to play out! clearly some parents have had enough of their kids already.

Lionso · 23/03/2020 15:13

Was the same in my neighbourhood, from Friday afternoon throughout the weekend, kids out playing from numerous families, playing tag etc.

Parent's lack any common sense.

kissmelittleass · 23/03/2020 15:38

So looks like a few of us are witnessing this! We have absolutely no hope do we with people like this having their own rules.!
Also seen a couple of the mums having a chat no distance between them what so ever.
We all have asthma in my house, my parents have health conditions my dad more so than my mum but they are over 70 and I'm stressed worrying about them and then I see this out the window!!
As I write this more kids out now playing about including some young teenagers I really can't believe the parents think it's ok 😳

I just took my dog for a walk, usually we don’t see anyone in the woods but it was quite busy today, including a few groups of what looked like 11/12 year olds. One of DS friends called for him this morning too!

GhostofFrankGrimes · 23/03/2020 15:41

Same here. It's being treated as a holiday with no clear end date

Staypositivepeople · 23/03/2020 15:42

Yeah my friends kids are out roaming
It she’s noted for not giving a shit

Marieo · 23/03/2020 15:44

Because some people are idiotic. I live opposite a large play area and on a main walking route to town, thankfully doesn't seem to be anyone about. Have heard a few cars go past but that is about it. My friend works in the local shop and said it's almost like a 'normal' day (still not great but better than it has been). I think lockdown is coming though, I have been pleasantly surprised today, but no doubt people will be back out soon if allowed.

SapphireSalute · 23/03/2020 15:48

They are all out in our shop!! Kids pregnant women... the lot!

Totally oblivious!
