Can't get refund from Ryanair?

Anyone else?

Had 2 flights cancelled due to current situation and an email to say I can rebook or receive a refund, apart from the fact that it won't let you submit the refund form!
It takes me through to a page where it says there was an error and gives option to fill in manual form which then claims over and over again that the flight confirmation number is wrong but it's is 100000% right and I've tried 273648 times to input it, triple and quadruple checked and still nada.

I can forgo one flight as it wasn't super expensive but I really can't be out of pocket for the other one especially that our income has now massively dropped and I'm counting on that coming back to give us a little help towards the next months.

Has anyone had anything similar? Is there another way ?

We’ve got flights booked for the end of April. At the moment they are saying we can change the date and rebook the same flights for later in the year. However, their website says they are grounding 80% of flights until at least the end of April.

If you go to money saving expert - Martin Lewis explains your rights and the process you must follow. You are entitled to a refund if the flight is cancelled (and you’re flying within the EU) and there is a link to a site called resolver where you can submit your claim.

We ere supposed to be flying with EasyJet to Paris next week.

Still says flight is going. Clearly we aren't going. Clearly we would be irresponsible to do so.

I can change my flight for free, but pay any increase in new flight prices. But I have no idea when we can go away - it was to celebrate DD's 18th and after the summer she will be at university. So it just doesn't work. And I have no idea how soon we could book for who knows when it will be okay to travel.

But no option for a refund at all. It's ridiculous.

Claiming on my insurance (if I could - I am not ill, but I am a vulnerable group; insurance did cover me for CV but not sure if it does whilst there is no FCO stying officially i can't fly) would be rubbish as we'd lose the excess.

Even a credit note to use with 12-24 months would be better than just having to make a random decision now as to where and when to go in the future.

We have until 2 hours before the flight is due to go to make the decision so for now I am holding out for a cancellation.

We're due to fly to Spain in Easter hols which is within the 30 day ban on all but emergency travel. Despite all gov official guidelines they are deliberately not cancelling flights until the absolute last minute to avoid paying out it seems. Even then, they have been reopening the flights just an hour or two before they were originally due to leave. It's clearly a very conniving way around paying out because they can officially say, 'well it was open'. It's absolutely disgusting behaviour. Unfortunately they are holding customers to ransom because, until they officially cancel a flight, we have absolutely no rights to claim a refund. However, they are then making it essentially impossible to do so, because, as you say, the claim for is deliberately set to 'error' - I've seen many, many complaints about this for a week or so now from around the web, so zero excuse for it still to be erroring today - it's absolutely deliberate. If you try to contact them via email you simply get a generic message that forces you to click a link that 'best describes' your issue. When you do click, it simply sends you back to the website.....It's completely set up to frustrate any and all attempts to refund. They are heavily pushing the 'rebook' option via email and on the website. Unsurprisingly all the links and buttons work just hunky dory there - no errors. Pretty disgusting but they'll absolutely get bailed out while small business owners get zero help except the offer of a damn loan.

I couldn't get the refund form to work, kept getting a message saying the number was wrong. I then tried it at 3am and it worked first time.

I think they are only cancelled until 14th April at the moment. Our flight is on 18th April. I don’t think there is any chance of being able to fly by 18th, so hoping Ryan Air do (or are forced to do) the right thing.

I might contact them publicly on FB and Twitter and see if that jolts them.

@LouQoo I probably didn't make myself clear hon - I'm booked to fly 11th April - zero cancellation happening, even now.

I've had no email. I may sound gobby but 2008 meltdown was an absolute travesty how we allowed the big corporations to get bailed out. We won't let that happen again - right? (let's not forget how the British airline industry implemented the highest Airline Fuel Fees, which - despite a HUGE drop in price - still prevail and worse, got conveniently rolled into 'passenger duty fees' or whatever BS they relabelled it at. We must SHOUT from the rooftops in order to not let them f*ck us over again and let this bioweapon turn us into compliant zombies.
