Isolating due to croup type cough

This morning Dd2 (3) has woken up with a croup type cough, I called 111 as she has other health issues and has needed steroids every other time
No fever or anything else, I was hoping they would just send a script to the local chemist like before

The guy on 111 said to stay home isolate and wait for a DR to call in the next 6 hours

Of course I'll stay home but I'm so frustrated we were just leaving the house for me to go to work

I'm a key worker as is DP, school cook and transport

That's around 80 kids I was supposed to feed today so other key workers can take take of poorly ppl

I love my job it's the only thing that stops depression from destroying me and being stuck home now argh

I'm sorry for the rant

Bloody virus

Anyway my question

Anyone who's had it or works with those who have what does the cough sound like? Is it croup type or chesty cough type?

Same situ here. I’m a key worker and my 4 year has developed a croup like cough overnight ... I can WFH but WFH with little ones is going to be almost impossible. The plan had been for my stbexh to be looking after the children during the day...

I’m
Going to try for a doctors app for my 3 year old today. He has suspected asthma. Never really needed inhalers before except with viral wheeze, but he’s been coughing for an hour in the middle of the night for the past couple of days.
That’s literally the only time he coughs so don’t think it’s CV but fully prepared to be quarantined for 14 days.

It's tough but just think, that's 80 kids you may have passed something into. They would spread it to their key worker families who could spread it at work.

I'm so very grateful people are taking it seriously and staying home if they have any symptoms at all.

Hope he feels better soon
