Are they testing ALL admissions, irrespective of symptoms, or are they only testing people with symptoms of CV?

They have tested 50k and only 5.5k have tested positive.

We know from what posters are writing here, that even with what appears to be CV, unless they're being admitted, they're not being tested at A&E.

What I'm wondering though is if Joe who is being admitted for a broken hip and Bridie who had a heart attack, neither of whom are displaying symptoms of CV are among the 50k being tested?

Otherwise, it seems that it's a small number of those tested have CV - about 11%?

No, only those with symptoms of pneumonia, flu-like illness or acute respiratory distress syndrome at the moment

So there's another dangerous dose doing the rounds then?

About 2 weeks ago, they mentioned 2 strains of it, but I've not heard mention of that since. Could it be that they only have a test for one strain?
