NHS staff need the proper equipment. I am so angry.
I worked 40 years in the Nhs, as did my dh and my parents, (who came here in the 50s because they were asked to come here).
It is outrageous that NHS staff are getting sico. I onow from friends and family that they are not getting the masks, gowns etc that they need. Basic barrier nursing stuff.
It is dreadful.

Yes, it's outrageous how badly prepared we are. I would always have guessed that there was some kind of planning for an event like this - it's been half expected for a while. But it seems we don't even have basic equipment for medics.

The government has had since January to prepare.

They most likely caught it from patients who were asymptomatic during routine ENT appointments.

That is exactly how they caught it. We know this is a huge risk.
All nhs staff should have the correct masks etc for this reason.
