The only way I coped with 2 children, one who's not sleeping at all well (toddler) was to go out for a run with them. The thought of not doing that is going to send me potty. I don't know how I'm going to get my work done aswell. As any time Dh has them I'm going to have to work. But I need cut off time

Home Ed can fuck right off (and I'm a teacher.)

For those who responded to me thank you and yes it seems like his inhaler and dosage is on the list. He takes a seretide 500 Accuhaler, 1 Puff twice a day

I think it’s saying if you take a high dose inhaled steroid inhaler and have been prescribed pred between July and December, you triggered a letter/text.

IOnlyWannaBeWithYou · 29/03/2020 18:30

It seems that if your inhaler is on the high dose list (see @NeurotrashWarrior’s link for list) AND you were prescribed prednisolone at least 4 times between Jul - Dec 2019, you are classed as severe asthmatic and should have received a letter/text.
However, it does mention that some patients may fall through the net so may be worth speaking to your GP if in doubt.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/03/2020 18:33

So it looks like I’ve missed the cut off by one course of pred then.

I am so confused. My dd has had symbicort recently prescribed which she takes twice daily as well as her reliever one. When I looked at the Asthma Uk website the other day, it advised that she was classed as “vulnerable” if she took symbicort. Now it’s advising to check with doctor to see if it’s at a high dose or not. There doesn’t seem to be any mention of being prescribed prednisolone as a factor. It’s so worrying as my dd already has severe allergies and is told that she must keep her asthma well controlled as it could make any allergic reaction more severe and vice versa.
