You will need:

  • Packet of kitchen towels
  • Breadknife
OP posts:

Don't use kitchen roll down the loo! It didn't break up and will block your pipes!

M00NPIE · 22/03/2020 19:10

And Dyno rod on speed dial when you toilet clogs up.

SmallChickBilly · 22/03/2020 19:10

*doesn't

FuzzyPuffling · 22/03/2020 19:10

Kitchen roll bungs up the sewage system.

LakieLady · 22/03/2020 19:11

And a plumber.

Kitchen roll can block drains. It's much more substantial than bog roll.

Ohtherewearethen · 22/03/2020 19:12

Terrible idea. The very last thing people need right now is shit backing up and flooding out of their toilets and plugholes.

Ginfordinner · 22/03/2020 19:12

Please do NOT use kitchen roll in the toilet.
They don't disintegrate the way toilet roll does, and will block your pipes.

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2020 19:12

Noooo, don't do that. Kitchen roll is not made like loo roll and doesn't disintegrate.

What the hell is the bread knife for??? Confused

Outtedagain · 22/03/2020 19:17

You will block the toilet ! Why do you think it kitchen rill is so absorbent, it doesn’t disintegrate like toilet paper,. JUST DONT.
Toilet paper is brilliant but not a life or death item.
Make do.

AriadnesFilament · 22/03/2020 19:17

Don’t do that ! It doesn’t break up!

If you’re really that desperate buy:
A stack of flannels
A bucket
Some good scissors
A bowl

Cut flannels into quarters, stack in bathroom. Pop water in bowl. Use flannels like you would baby wipes. Chuck in bucket when done. Wash on 90.

Job done.

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2020 19:19

Have people run out of loo roll already? i thought everyone had a garage full.

WisestIsShe · 22/03/2020 19:20

I mind children whose family are from the middle East. They don't use toilet paper for no 2, they keep a small jug in the bathroom and use warm water. Obviously with extra careful handwashing.
They consider wiping with paper to be unhygienic!
Something to consider.

WorraLiberty · 22/03/2020 19:23

WisestIsShe, do they all have bum flannels?

Serious question as I've only seen bidets for example in hotels, so always wondered if bum washers have to get their bare fingers in there, or if they all have their own cloths/flannels Blush

Outtedagain · 22/03/2020 19:24

Just wash. We had this convo last week

Holothane · 22/03/2020 19:26

No no no no no it will block drains.

MikeUniformMike · 22/03/2020 19:28

Can't people be more stingy with their bog roll. Some people use huge amounts when 2 or 3 squares will do.

Soubriquet · 22/03/2020 19:30

I’m guessing knife is for cutting the kitchen roll in half

Use it if you want. But it goes in the bin not down the toilet.

Same for baby wipes or anything that isn’t wee, poo or toilet paper.

Even flushable wipes should be binned and not flushed. They aren’t flushable

Sargass0 · 22/03/2020 19:30

This is better.

Toilet Roll Problem Solved!
shinyredbus · 22/03/2020 19:31

Why on earth would you advice kitchen towels!!!? They will clog up your toilets!??!!!??!!

june2007 · 22/03/2020 19:31

YANBU as long as you don,t flush.

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 22/03/2020 19:34

What the hell is the bread knife for???

I can only assume that it will be needed when OP. clogs their toilet and they need to break up anything that won’t flush away easily....

Don’t do this OP. Really.

TheReluctantCountess · 22/03/2020 19:35

Don’t be silly.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 22/03/2020 19:36

I assume the bread knife is to cut the kitchen roll in half, so it is more loo roll sized.

Doesn’t solve the pipe clogging issue, though.
