Cleaner

I've had a cleaner come three times. She's due again tomorrow. What would you do? I want to cancel but what do I do about paying her? If she'd been coming for a while I'd have no hesitation in carrying on paying but in a few weeks she'll have been paid for not being here more than being here. Would offering to pay for the next two weeks be ok?

Hopeful bump!

Husband just shrugs his shoulders but I want to try and do the right thing!

I’m still paying my cleaners but they’ve been cleaning for us for almost 8 years!

Offering a couple of weeks of pay sounds nice - or could you offer to keep paying / paying half maybe but she does the extra hours for you once things are back to normal?

That's a good idea @Floobydoodoo. Just need to work out how to word it!

I think 2 weeks is fine. There isn't much of a relationship there.

If she had been your cleaner for years I would offer to continue to pay if I could afford it

Thank you @Hugsgalore. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being awful.

@Floobydoodoo I messaged with your idea and she seemed so grateful. Thanks for the suggestion.

@beanbag19 glad it’s worked for you both. I know mine were so relieved when I said I’d still be able to pay them. It’s a horrible time for everyone.
