Nicola Sturgeon

Just watching her on TV. Her advice is much clearer than Johnson's. She is very decisive, not asking nicely but telling people what they need to do. Is it me or do others feel the same?
Sexnotgender · 22/03/2020 14:55
She’s a very good orator. I’m not necessarily her biggest fan generally but she’s clear herez
Isla727 · 22/03/2020 14:56
She's much clearer- most people are much clearer than Boris though!
1forsorrow · 22/03/2020 14:57
Horehound, I don't blame you. I listen to Nicole Sturgeon and Leo Varadkar and then look at Boris and there just isn't any comparison is there. How the hell did we end up with Boris?
Chemenger · 22/03/2020 14:58
She is a very competent politician. I disagree with the basic premise of her party but she speaks exceptionally well on other subjects.
ilovecherries · 22/03/2020 15:00
She always makes me feel a bit better, even though the news she’s delivering is shit. I never come away from listening to her thinking I’m not sure what to do.
IceKitten · 22/03/2020 15:00
Boris is incapable of giving a straight answer to a simple question.
Fartlek · 22/03/2020 15:03
I love nicola sturgeon, she is a great example of good leadership. I don't agree with all her politics but I'm very happy she is at the helm here in Scotland.
I imagine BoJo is thinking to himself that this wasn't what he signed up for. it's turning out to be quite hard work now. Poor ickle manchild.
1forsorrow · 22/03/2020 15:04
I don't want to sound sexist because I know there are competent men out there but the three women on stage in Scotland sound a hell of a lot more competent than Boris and co.
1forsorrow · 22/03/2020 15:06
To add balance I thought Sadiq Khan was a lot clearer than Boris as well. Maybe everyone is just clearer than Boris?
Metoyoutoo · 22/03/2020 15:06
She is an appalling politician who gives no fucks about the people of Scotland. None. She has one agenda only and she’ll do anything to get it
ParkheadParadise · 22/03/2020 15:09
I like Nicola Sturgeon. She's a good first Minister.
Mmsnet101 · 22/03/2020 15:10
Couldn't agree more, a clear and decisive leader which is what we need right now.
Horehound · 22/03/2020 15:11
@metoyoutoo well out of you and Nicola sturgeon, you're bringing everyone's minds to it more than Nicola sturgeon has today. So basically, it's just not true...
cinders222 · 22/03/2020 15:13
I am in Scotland not a Nicola fan normally but think she is handling situation well
HonestlyItsFine · 22/03/2020 15:18
I don't particularly like her political stance on a few things, but she is decisive and firm. Unlike "Come on now, lets be decent" Johnson, who will have to do something fast because the situation is out of hand.
Kissmycousinkate · 22/03/2020 15:19
I thought she spoke really well, not making any difference though still people are on about pubs open on the quiet, "they have bills to pay"!!
Mirada · 22/03/2020 15:23

'She is a very competent politician'.
But not competent enough to have closed Scotland's pubs and cafes. (BBC reporting some remain open, because Scotland lacks the necessary legislation).
1forsorrow · 22/03/2020 16:18
Mirada she has told them to close, she has told them the legislation is coming, she was perfectly clear and no decent adult should do anything other than she has asked. Compare that to Boris and "please be reasonable in your shopping, be considerate and thoughtful of others." Sounds more like a sermon than a politician leading a country.
Horehound · 22/03/2020 16:19
@Mirada right. So if she doesn't have the legal power to do it, how do you think she can enforce it??
1forsorrow · 22/03/2020 20:03
And that is what she is doing. She can't just snap her fingers, there are processes.
