Self isolating

Name change because scared.

I'm confused as to whether I should be self isolating. My work is still open and no chance of working from home because of the nature of the work. My husband has an autoimmune disease, and is self isolating. I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have high blood pressure (under control), and I also get an annual NHS flu jab because of the risks to my husband, and I am his carer (he is retired).

My work says I must still come in, yet I'm worried about the actual process of travelling to work, and the contact with people while there. I don't know what to do, and I'm worried and scared. Any advice?

Husband also went through cancer treatment (thankfully successful) earlier last year.

I think you should self isolate according to government instructions. Your work are assholes if they don't support that choice.
