Covid

Is my friend selfish?

I have a friend who loves traveling and has to go somewhere every month. Her husband is quite a high earner so she doesn't need to work. In January, she went away to two different countries and in February she also traveled abroad. This month, she was booked on another holiday but had to cancel due to Covid-19. However, she has decided that she still 'needs to go somewhere and not stay at home' so she and her family will travel out of London with some other friends to another English town for a week. They will 'isolate' there.

I'm a keyworker in London and we're trying not to spread anything out so feel a bit miffed that they're heading out of London. Her DC has also had a 'cold' in the last week but she insists that it's nothing more because the cough is 'chesty and not dry'.

Some ppl hide their anxiety behind "love for traveling", when they're simply running away from facing their problems.

Yes love traveling when it is the right time, who doesnt like a holiday. But in situation like this, if u cant control urself, you need to address core issues

We will be in lockdown so she'll not have a choice.
