Weird symptoms

So I have had weird mild symptoms for over a week now- I feel like I am holding something off!

Tickly throat and very occasional cough
Occasional chills
Feeling sick sometimes but not all the time/ bit of an upset tummy
Occasional face flushes & heat - temperature normal
Occasional feeling of burning in lungs

It’s making me really anxious as I don’t feel right but I don’t feel ill either

Should we be self isolating? We are pretty much doing that but DH is a key worker 😬 what should I do?

Yes. Isolate. It could be CV and you could potentially pass it to someone who then gets much worse symptoms.

BellsaRinging · 22/03/2020 06:55

This is what I've had too. We are only going out for groceries (brought to car) and for walks (small village, not crossed paths with anyone), just in case. If it is cv though it's an odd set of symptoms-but I am exactly the same as you. Possibly another bug?

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 07:00

I think it is. These match my symptoms and mine are a little worse, more sore inside my chest and harder to breathe. Where are you? Close to other known cases or been somewhere that is?

Definitely follow the advice to isolate.

Hairydilemma · 22/03/2020 07:01

The face flush thing is interesting. DD and I have had coughs for a couple of weeks so have been self-isolating. I’ve had no other symptoms except about the same time every day (c4-5pm) my face has gone really hot and red. Bizarre. Wish you better soon.

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 07:03

@BellsaRinging I’ve read loads of people have these weird symptoms - I’m on the south coast near Brighton. Been pretty much at home for 5 days to be honest bar walks to park & to collect kids Friday from school

I'm exactly the same! The face flushing at certain times is really weird. Also my sinuses feel like they're on fire.

shellysheridan · 22/03/2020 07:10

I've had those exact symptoms since Wednesday. We are self isolating.
I'm also achy.

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 07:11

Really weird that lots of other people getting similar symptoms - I am taking bucket loads of vitamin C (berocca) and multi vits to boost my immunity too

Hmmm. I'm in the Midlands, but until I started wfh last week was in and out of London and the office and had meetings with all sorts. I'm going to continue as above. I can't see anything other than a month lockdown in our future anyway. Hopefully soon as that would at least stop more unnecessary transfer.

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 07:14

I’m also a bit sniffly but minimal too

TheGirlFromStoryville · 22/03/2020 07:15

Face flushing.
I had this yesterday afternoon. Tbh I thought it was a hot flush (perimenopausal) but it lasted about 2 hours - the burning sensation spread to my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Very strange.

Had all the other symptoms (chest tightness, headaches, achiness) about 2 weeks ago which passed.

Glad I'm not on my own!

TheGirlFromStoryville · 22/03/2020 07:16

Meant to add, the flushing actually felt hot - like severe sunburn. It eventually went after a few hours.

Mary1935 · 22/03/2020 07:17

Yes my glands are up with a sore throat but it’s very dry in my mouth. I am a key worker. I’ve gone of sick and will see if my symptoms get worse I will remain off but my dilemma is if I stay the same what will I do?
Look after yourselves.
We will be Italy in two weeks.

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 07:18

@TheGirlFromStoryville yes, that’s exactly how mine feels when I get it- and I get cold hands at same time?!

OP posts:
SageYourResoluteOracle · 22/03/2020 07:18

I've got the virus (well- no test but definitely have it) and have been in isolation since last Sunday and I've had the red flushing face too!

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 07:19

And a dry mouth too! It’s better when I eat & stops the tickly dry feeling

AgnesNaismith · 22/03/2020 07:23

Odd - I’ve had lung pressure/burning for a couple of weeks, early on I had aching bones and extreme tiredness. My glands have been up and down and sore throat that comes and goes. Last night my face starting flushing and burning and my whole scalp was really itchy too?

TheGirlFromStoryville · 22/03/2020 07:25

Littleblackdress

YES! My hands were icy and I felt cold to the point of shivering yet my face, neck and back were on fire.

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 07:35

I mean it could be something else- I’m also very anxious and have been for days so that’s not helping at all!

OP posts:
ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 07:51

I get the face flushing and hot while hands and feet, especially feet, are like ice. No fever though. Also get very cold at times and have to wrap up in a blanket while fully clothed.

littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 08:02

Does anyone think this could be a mild version of it? I’ve read so many horror stories- and I am so anxious anyway!

OP posts:
littleblackdress04 · 22/03/2020 08:13

My 8 year old DD has also complained every evening of feeling sick for the last 5 days & coughs a couple of time’s a day. It’s hard to know if I am being paranoid or there is something in it

OP posts:
ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 09:54

It is very mild for most people. My eight year old has no symptoms and must’ve caught it from me. Ten yr at old is coughing but absolutely fine. Both running around yesterday.

littleblackdress04 · 24/03/2020 08:43

So now I have a bit of a cough and some lung pain & chest feels tight! Feel a bit wobbly too- anyone else on here feeling like this too? No temp tho at the moment!

OP posts:
LambriniSocialist · 24/03/2020 08:46

Yes, just to reiterate, for a large number of people, it will be very mild and in some cases asymptomatic. Which I think is why for any symptoms really now, people should be self isolating.
