Well done Morrisons!
Esspee · 22/03/2020 05:18
Just received an email from Morrisons. They are bringing in an NHS hour from 07:00-08:00 every day only allowing NHS staff into the stores.
Let's hope the other food stores follow their lead.

Sainsbury's are doing similar. Certain times for NHS, and certain (separate) times for elderly/vulnerable customers.
PanicOnTheStreets85 · 22/03/2020 06:03
Where did you get the fact that they are separate times from @ElizabethMainwaring? Sainsbury's are doing an hour for NHS staff, care workers and the elderly/vulnerable all together. www.about.sainsburys.co.uk/news/latest-news/2020/feeding-the-nation-2 Utter madness! Get the people most likely to have the disease together with the people most at risk!

Sainsburys have now changed to NHS workers allowed in half an hour before the shop opens at 8.
Then the elderly hour starting from 8.

@paniconthestreets85
They sent me an email a few hours ago, saying that they were responding to all the people who criticized their original decision.

Tesco are also allowing NHS staff in from 9am from today and for every Sunday, for an hour to browse on their own before others
Justforthislifetime · 22/03/2020 08:40
and Booths too.
Open 9am one hour for NHS.
Don’t forget to take your ID Badge!

About time too
I went to tesco yesterday for weekly shop and there was a very different array of items available and a lot of normal items gone so a very different diet this week but hey I will not go hungry
disconnecteddrifter · 22/03/2020 08:50
What about teachers? I dont finish until 4pm and worried nothing will be left (as there hasbt been for 2 weeks now)
Noodlenosefraggle · 22/03/2020 08:50
I hope this works and we dont have other people muscling in and pushing them out of the way like they did for the elderly hour.
