Anybody had to apply for UC because of a loss of revenue due to CV?

I have lost 60% of my revenue due to the Coronavirus from one week to the other. I know a lot of people are in the same boat.

Today, I applied for Universal credit, no choice.

I have proved my ID online but now need to call on Monday to get an appointment to show some proof of ID and address. Are they still doing it face to face?

I am slightly scared (absolutely terrified) that the huge amount of people applying will mean that I will have to wait so long for an appointment or an answer (2 months? 3 Months?). I also haven't been asked for my salary? That is weird? I am just freaking out right now about everything, the unknown in addition to everything else being unknown (like everyone, I know).

Anybody has been through that last week and can reassure me?

As far as I can gather there should be no need for face to face appt. there are huge queues on the phone given the immense number of people applying all at once. the online application normally asks you about earnings.

They really cannot be asking people to go to the job centre for appointments at the moment.

I don't remember answering about my earnings? But I am stressed at the moment, I might have forgotten. Thanks for answering. I guess I'll just have to call Monday first thing.

Same boat here.

They contact you via your journal and you can leave them a message to say you cannot do face to face appointment.

We have a phone apointment on Monday rather than the face to face.
