To stay off work for longer?

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light as I don't want to pester my doctor as I know they're under a lot of pressure.

I've been anemic pretty much since having my LO 3 years ago, bloods have just been taken and despite being on iron Nov-Jan I'm anemic again and on 3 months worth of twice daily iron then will be trying 1 tablet a day to try and prevent it reoccurring.

I'm currently in week 5 of trying to fight off a cold, last year's cold turned to pneumonia. I really struggle to shift any cold/cough/infection and have a feeling it's due to the anemia.

Obviously with Covid 19 being so infectious and working in social care I'm extremely concerned about getting it. Would it be wise to remain off work as an at risk worker?
