And said school is being used as a school for key workers children from Monday.

AIBU in thinking this is shocking?!

What is shocking about it?

Grasspigeons · 21/03/2020 19:42

if they are working together all day and living with their partners its hard to see why being together in the evening makes much difference. Or is it with other people too.

EvilEdna1 · 21/03/2020 19:44

Hard to take social distancing massively seriously whist working in a school that's still open. They are more likely to get it from a key workers child.

Fudgewhizz · 21/03/2020 19:45

@Grasspigeons because it’s all about reducing contact - having dinner with others is not essential and it’s not reducing contact! The more chances you take like this the more you’re exposing yourself and others to risk

Theloftmonster · 21/03/2020 19:45

They are no more at risk than they will be on Monday looking after key workers kids.

TabbyMumz · 21/03/2020 19:45

Dont see anything wrong with it, they are probably working together all day. What are you doing looking at their fb?

Thickmuthafuckers · 21/03/2020 19:45

Yes I realised once I posted that they will all be exposed to each other anyway 🤦‍♀️ My bad, I’m this thick muthafucker 😬

They are my friends on facebook

it would be shocking for anyone not expected to be socially distancing to gather around a dinner table with people who aren't in their household, because it's a stupid risk to take as if any of the households are in the symptom-free infectious period, it will get spread around.

however I don't think it's shocking for teachers. they are getting exposed to the risk all day every day in order to keep the hospitals open and the food flowing to the supermarket shelves. they aren't at any more risk by socialising with each other.

Sparrowlegs248 · 21/03/2020 19:47

I do think it was a mistake to post it on Facebook though, tbh!

ScorpionQueen · 21/03/2020 19:47

God no, they deserve to eat nice food and get pissed. Stop stalking teachers.

Theloftmonster · 21/03/2020 19:47

They will be looking after the children of healthcare workers who are spending all day with infected people wearing unsuitable PPE. They have been coming in contact with hundreds of children every day. I think a small dinner party can be forgiven.

ferrier · 21/03/2020 19:48

No not your bad. It's much more natural to do the social distancing- staying 2m apart in a school than at a dinner party.
It beats me why so many people are completely ignoring the advice being given out.
Which will ultimately lead to lockdown .... is that really what people want? Hmm

Grasspigeons · 21/03/2020 19:49

Fudgewhizz - i get that but they arent going to be socially distancing they will be working together.

Oblomov20 · 21/03/2020 19:49

ShockShockShock
What? I disagree with all pp!

They aren't supposed to be socialising.

No contact unless essential.

Haven't they listened to PM Boris?

I give up. Stupid selfish people.

ScorpionQueen · 21/03/2020 19:50

Lockdown is inevitable. The teachers will still be working.

cabbageking · 21/03/2020 19:51

They will be in the staff room together. The TA will be in class with the teacher. They might car share.

I would be more worried about why they have a public Facebook page rather than a private one? Perhaps it is ok in their school?
