Would clarification help?

It seems large numbers of people are clearly ignoring advice and doing what ever they like and social media is littered with comments such as ‘it’s only the elderly at risk’ and ‘those with underlying health problems are the ones at risk’ and ‘so the couple of hundred people have died but they were all ill and had other problems so Most people are not at risk’. Would clarification about the health conditions of these dying from the virus help people understand better? And the fact that no one is considering that if they need treatment for any other reason they may not get it because of the NHS crisis? I’m not sure what else people need to know because they clearly do not understand

I think general intelligence levels are too low to grasp the situation, people aren't socially compliant in general and a lack of common sense due to never having had to really deal with disaster or a really challenging situation.

I'm actually concerned that a large number of people would NOT follow lockdown procedures if it comes to that ...

People aren’t reading rhe info properly. They just look at a few headlines occasionally. Clarification won’t help. It was the same with brexit. Total misinformation and lack of understanding., coupled with either complete mind boggling panic aramageddon type projections or not giving a shit.

Even sitting them down and explaining it with a one syllable picture diagram wouldn’t help.
