Anyone had symptoms for over 2 weeks

But not getting worse, only slightly better?

I'm asthmatic and started with a tight chest, slight cough and sore throat almost 3 weeks ago now. I increased my preventer inhaler and have had no improvement in the chest symptoms but the sore throat has gone. I had a pounding headache for 8 days which has also gone now. I spent the first week resting on the sofa between school runs (at this point my GP said next to no rush of it being covid-19 as no contact with any positive cases or travel). Since the isolate with symptoms advice came in I have been self isolating.

I'm not unwell as such, just a tight chest and cough. Bit achey and still tired but under normal circumstances it wouldn't be enough to stop me doing anything. Although there's no choice as I'm a single parent of three children with no one to help.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd normally have steroid tablets by now but I'm not keen to take any due to the link with poorer outcomes in covid-19 patients.

Anyone?
My chest is tighter today and I'm now over 3 weeks since the first symptoms. The Gp has changed my inhaler so that should help and I'm ok in myself. The tightness is just not improving much at all.

Yes me! It's been about three weeks and only now starting to feel better. Started with nausea and vomiting, dizziness, tight chest, breathlessness and headache. Breathlessness has finally gone. Had vomiting and diarrhoea two days ago and feel so much better since. Just a headache now and very very tired. But it's gone on for three to four weeks. My mum had it before me and she had it for about 5 weeks with a horrific cough too. There was an overlap between us of a week or so.

Get well soon. The days of being able to take a deep breath will suddenly return.

Oh and the tightness and breathlessness lifted very suddenly. Literally overnight.

I’ve had a tight chest for about 2 days, feeling of pressure in throat almost like swollen glands, very tired. Not too bad at the moment, but am young and healthy with no underlying heath issues. Not sure if it’s Coronavirus but I guess time will tell...so does it seem last about 2-3 weeks for people then?

Yes, me. Two and half weeks ago a came down with a very sore throat, and what felt like a head cold, neck and throat glands hurting. A few days later throat cleared up but turned into a dry cough, couldn't get my breath under it, asthma very raspy, no other symptoms for 2 days. Then shivering going from hot to cold, highest my temp we t was 37.5, but I generally have a temp of 35-36, still coughing, 5 days after the cough my right side of chest felt really restricted, I couldn't breathe properly, lie on that side. Doc gave me antibiotics, said because no temp def not covid-19, still no temp, cough still going. Then Thurs I woke up to a really scary asthma attack, been prescribed another course of antibiotics and prednisolone. The doc spoke to me about cough symptoms and said its possible that I've had the virus. Last night my left lung felt restricted, and I'm still wheezy. Today is the first day I don't feel so wiped out.

Similar to you but no cough.

It has been 16 days since I developed a tight chest, slight wheezing (I have mild asthma) and sore throat. No sign of it getting worse or improving. Very strange. Assuming not Coronavirus as no cough or fever but don’t know what it is.

10 days into it now with no let up despite increasing inhalers and a course of steroids..

I had a cough for 3 weeks, breathlessness no other symptoms. Only the slightest niggle of a cough now. I am asthmatic though so suspect it was that, have been given a preventer inhaler (only had ventolin previously) and my ventolin was slightly easing symptoms (was using 3/4 times a day 2/3 puffs at a time).
