My DP has lost the plot (light-hearted...ish?)

Just caught my DP wielding a tape measure like a sabre in the living room. Why? He is looking at buying a baseball bat for "home security" in case anyone breaks in to the house in search of food when the country (apparently) inevitably goes to pot, and since we are all now WFH, it means the would-be perpetrator would be very determined Hmm

Now, we do have some very young children in the house so I can appreciate his excuse of wanting to "protect the family", but I laughed and think it's a bit OTT, no? My suggestion of adding some ninja stars and a polearm to his shopping basket was met with a scoff and an eyeroll... Grin

NB - he is a large guy and is under the opinion that just by having the bat in hand will be enough deterrent to anyone

Anyone else's DP gone a bit loopy since isolating?

It has occured to me that I should hide food in odd places around the house.
