What are my chances of coming to the UK in the summer?

I live in China with my DH and baby DD. Our elderly parents live in the UK. Initially they were worried about us catching the virus, but now of course it's the opposite DD is 5 months and her grandparents have never met her. Desperate to bring her over in the summer, but thinking it won't be possible, will it?

Very unlikely. I wouldn't plan for anything until September 🙁

I read somewhere that the UK was expecting the peak of infections to be late May early June. Sorry, I can't remember where I read that, possibly the Beeb. We are in a similar situation and have tickets booked for end of May. In reality we expect that we will have to switch tickets and come in the Autumn at the earliest.

Pretty slim. Although we may have a lull in the summer (like the flu) and go back to the issue again in September.

I'm not in the same country as my parents either. It's shit, sorry.

Thanks for your reply @CheddarGorgeous. I'm a teacher, so realistically we were looking at Christmas I guess... Does anyone think differently?

Thanks everyone else too. The other thing is that I didn't come back for Christmas either, as DD didn't have a passport yet, so I haven't seen them for ages. I'm really anxious that they'll catch tHe virus and i won't be able to see them ever again
