Temperature for a week

I’ve had a temperature for a week now, usually around 38.0. But no cough. Can I come out of isolation? I don’t feel at all ill so don’t want to even try to see a doctor. I’m confused.

No

Phone the NHS if it’s been a week with no improvement - that’s the current advice (as far as I know, it’s changed so frequently!)

Do you still have a temperature? If so, stay away

Nursing83 · 21/03/2020 13:09

If you have a temperature than stay at home until you dont. That's just sensible surely even without coronavirus, no-one wants your germs when you are unwell stay home

No; call 111 (or relevant service if you’re not in England) - do not contact or go to your GP or Walk in Centre, you could still infect others!

The guidance is clear, if you still have a temperature and your condition has not improved after 7 days you must get appropriate medical attention.
