Coronavirus and child maintenance

Ex has just informed me he probably won’t be able to pay child maintenance for the foreseeable future as his income has dropped due to Coronavirus.
We have an agreement based on CMS calculator which was included in the financial order as part of the divorce.
We recently agreed a reduction as he started having the children overnight every other weekend.
Can he just stop paying because of Coronavirus? Do I need to consult a solicitor or should I just go through CMS?
I’m really stressing because my income has also dropped (I run holiday accommodation).

You can go through CMS- but if he has no income, he can't pay you may be entitled to higher benefits though.

As PP said, if he’s been affected by the CV and had to take a drastic drop in income you’ll be lucky to get anything. I know it sucks that your income has also dropped but he can’t pay you what he doesn’t have.

Well if he can’t pay he can’t pay. Atleast it’s just because of the corona virus, my ex hasn’t paid a penny in 3 years.
