Sharing online deliveries

We usually (before all this started) have a weekly shopping delivery.

As I usually book several slots in advance, I could see how it was going and managed to book advanced slots every 10-14 days till part way through April.
We are now adding items, for both sets of elderly parents and 2 sets of our elderly neighbours.

I’m also involved in a village helpers scheme to shop or run errands for those who are unable to get out for themselves.

This made me wonder if it’s possible for supermarkets to allocate shopping deliveries to groups of addresses so they go further? One big shop could be delivered to one address that volunteers itself as a distributor and that (healthy) volunteer could then distribute the separate shops. Does that make sense?
This is sort of what we’ve been doing. One delivery slot shared between 5 homes.

I’d be more than happy for other neighbours to add to our slots, as long as we can get them, but obviously some items are restricted.
If they were official separate shops delivered to one address surely we could get round this problem?
