What are you doing? Especially if you’re on a busy yard - has much changed? Are you trying to get down as little as is possible? Or are you lucky enough to be adequately isolated when being around your horses?

As stupid as this might sound I feel for the pets/animals. They have no idea what’s going on and none of it is even remotely their fault. But they’ll still likely pick up on our stress, worry and impatience. The economic effects will cause them to suffer as well, and their routines will change and they won’t understand why. Obviously I reserve most of my sympathy for the humans and families of people affected by cv, but I can’t help feeling shit about this side of it too

My boy lives out 24/7 so going straight to his paddock, seeing to his needs, take him out for some grass, put him back, straight back to car and away. No conversing with others unless it's a wave across the yard! He's 4 so not being ridden as yet (as planning too soon though but never mind)

Mind you, farrier supposed to be coming Tuesday.....still figuring that out.

@TiddyTid ooh I hadn’t even thought of the farrier/dentist/vet side of things.

Small yard, so just doing away as normal, with everyone aware they might need to step in and help others out. Farrier can just come and do mine, he'll stand tied up.

We're just not getting too close to each other. Mine are living out at the moment, but I do bring them in twice a day for feeding and rug change.
I've started wearing dust masks for filling nets as I think maybe having irritated airways might help the virus take hold.
