Schools closed until September?

This is what most people I know are suggesting.

I know theres no guaranteed timeframe. But surely not?

Parents, teachers and ex teachers are all saying it's a shame that year 6 didnt get to say goodbye to their friends etc.

I'm just so confused now

the council DH works for have been told to prepare for the schools to remain closed until at least September.

September would be a best case scenario, I would think. I work in a university and am expecting us to still be disrupted by this in the autumn term.

This isn't going to all go away in a few weeks. We're in for a long, hard journey

I think September is best case scenario.

As a teacher we have been given a 12 week work rota, but no one knows. I'd guess 12 weeks.

Thanks all!!

So hard to imagine. My children are overjoyed at the prospect, but I suspect that'll change a few weeks in!
