If you don’t live together - do you think it is the wrong thing to do to visit each other at respective homes/stay the night? If so it could mean 3 months no physical contact 😔.

Are either of you/both of you properly socially distancing otherwise?

Any contact is a risk, but providing you both limit your contact outside of the relationship, as if you were a single household, I don't think it would be massively unreasonable to spend time together.

For instance, we are a family of 4. DH is still working, we are supporting vulnerable friends and family from a distance. We will have no face to face social contact with anyone else.

You need to give more detail. If both of you are self isolating then fine. If one of you is frontline NHS staff and the other taking care of their 98 year old granny, not fine.
