The governments economic measures surely wouldn’t be necessary if they’d gotten a handle on this situation early on? I’m talking a month ago - inadequate testing, all the skiers returning during half term with no mandatory isolation, Crufts taking place and other large events...
Maybe if we’d been diligent and prepared from the beginning we’d have been in a much stronger situation. That’s why I can’t get into the effusive praise of the governments measures...
