Are your places you work for bringing new staff over from other countries at short notice because of short staffing levels? How are they coping with less staff?

Why are you asking. Have you read up about staff redeployment plans here and comminity support.

HappyHammy · 20/03/2020 22:05

With worldwide travel bans and restrictions do you really think anyone will be drafted in from overseas

Dontletanyonedullyoursparkle · 20/03/2020 22:07

What country did they come in from. Did they have to isolate for a while.

Scruffyoak · 20/03/2020 22:11

Yes and I thought inwas going mad. I want to just quit now because I cant keep my family safe if there are lots of new staff from other areas

Dontletanyonedullyoursparkle · 20/03/2020 22:12

No self isolation

Unfortunately though how do you suggest the people receive the care they need if staff arent brought in?
As boarders are closed how do you know that staff have literally only just been flown in or haven't had to self isolate prior to starting work?
Care homes and domicilary care was already hugely stressed and operating a sub par standard of care due to low.staff numbers prior to the pandemic, so currently with vulnerable staff having to self quanentine for 12 weeks, and the gradual 14 days isolation as family members get ill, if everyone leaves who do you expect to care for the most vulnerable members of our society?

If true. Name and shame. Stop wasting time on here.
