Car service

Car booked in for a service tomorrow. Would be drop off and pick up later. Would you?

More information it’s just the annual service but I use my car for work as a community nurse and am likely to be redeployed within the next week or so. I will obviously be cleaning my keys and steering wheel before handling when I get back and maintaining the distance but can’t weigh this up. Have had a few issues with clutch which is the only reason I’ve not already cancelled.

Yes I would still go ahead with this. You need to keep your car safe to drive.

We did this today. I was reluctant but DH insisted.

We asked for it not to be valeted and I took antibac spray and disposable gloves and cleaned the interior as soon as we got it back. Not just keys and steering wheel but all door-handles, indicators etc etc

Safe to say there is probably more risk at work so yes get the service done

emmathedilemma · 20/03/2020 18:34

Yes, but give it a good wipe down as suggested when you pick it up (and drop it off as courtesy to the garage staff)

I'd say it's less risky than going to the shops and makes good sense if you need your car.

Thanks. Will get it done. I feel hypocritical when doing social distancing and being strict about it with family but I need my car for my work
