Dystopian scenes at pharmacy

Had to go to the pharmacy to collect a prescription this afternoon and was really confronted with reality of what is happening

We were all made to queue outside with space between us. Then the door opened to the pharmacy staff in masks, gloves and aprons. Person at the front of the queue spoke to the staff. They closed the door. Then came back and passed through the door. No contact other than passing things over. No entering the shop. Felt massively surreal.

It's scared the life out of me that that is reality for the time being

Me too. I was wearing a mask too which probably added to it. We all had to queue outside and could then go inside one at a time but had to stand two metres away from the counter

Me took. No more than 4 people in the pharmacy and stand behind the red taped line on the carpet. 2 metre spacing and and arms length handed over my scrip. I was only notifying them I need them to request my scrip from GP in future because I had to go through the same thing at the GP Dispensary to collect the scrip in the first place. This way it will reduce the need for interaction and keep me away from the GP surgery.

Same in the butchers. 3 people max and stand behind the line from the counter. Butcher has hand sanitiser for staff only.

But as other customers in pharmacy said 'we've just walked to here past the restaurant whcih is FULL of people dining' Confused
