Have the self isolation guidelines changed

I thought that if you lived with others and have symptoms you should all isolate for 14 days

Looking at the guidance on the nhs website now is seems to suggest first person can leave home after 7 days and everyone else 14 days

I'm confused - had this changed?

The person with symptoms isolates for 7 days. If they are ok after that then they are ok to go back to normal. The rest of the household isolates for 14 days as that is the incubation period. If any of them get symptoms in that period then that person isolates for 7 more days

Someone has just told me about the seven day rule for the ill person . I thought it was 14 days for all.
