Can we go out in garden/courtyard if we are in lockdown?

Yes. My son is a suspected case and he goes outside into the garden. When he's there we move indoors or go right up to the end. We're in isolation too because of him, and spend as much time outside as we can.

Obviously if you have a tiny courtyard and are very close to your neighbours also outside in theirs, that might be different, but the advice from CMO was that being outdoors was a good thing to do.

I heard that if your self isolating you can go into your garden but you must stay at least 2 meters away from the fence on either side.
