I booked a stay at a premier inn for the 28th-29th March for 4 rooms. In light of the Corona Virus I checked their website and fully appreciated that I had booked a non-cancellable stay saw the only option was to amend the dates.
As I myself am pregnant, along with another of our group, and had that evening been instructed to avoid social contact I had no choice other than to move the booking, December was the closest weekend I could move the booking to, at least to try and salvage something by selling onto a friend etc rather than loose it altogether.
Within 24 hours of amending my booking I received an email explaining they had reviewed their policy and all stays up until the 31st of May were now refundable.
I rang up to explain my situation, expecting fully they would be able to understand that I moved my booking due to there being no refund option in place at that time and was met with a hard no with absoloutely no understanding to my situation or flexibility.
Am I completely in the wrong or is this worth pursuing to gain my (£370!) refund?
