No you can’t meet your friend for coffee
No you can’t get your hair done
No you can’t go to pub or restaurant
No you can’t go to the gym or swimming
No you can’t go visit your elderly parents with your children
No you can’t go to the playground
No you can’t have a play date
And so on and so forth.

If you have to go to work go and then go home. If you want to exercise go for a run on your own or exercise at home on your own. If you go to get food please be very careful and only go if essential.

PLEASE START TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY

Where’s that figure from orange?

Daisy. Last time. Driving is NO RISK. Not low risk.

You are being ridiculous. I'll leave you to it now as nothing I've said has had an effect.

Earings and Lipstick and Daisy
It was me who posted it.

I live in the midlands and I have a dog. I am walking my dog out in the countryside.

Were I to hop in my car and to drive to a beach to walk my dog alone I don't see that there is any risk in that. I am thinking remote beach not one with benches etc.

I have no intention of doing this irl I just can't see that this would be covered by any social distancing rule, I am totally otherwise socially distancing and have done since Monday.

I do think that common sense should apply. How could it be more risky to walk on the beach than to walk on the fields behind my house?

I take non - essential travel to mean public transport to work if you can use car or going on holiday. Perhaps more clarification is required!

EarringsandLipstick · 20/03/2020 16:27

Absolutely cantdo your understanding is perfectly reasonable & not in any way a risk.

EarringsandLipstick · 20/03/2020 16:29

The non-essential travel means what you are travelling for! If you are travelling to an event, meet friends, go casual shopping - all non-essential so don't do it. But the travel itself poses no risk (in your own car I mean, public transport is a risk so not advised unless no other option)

janelmac · 20/03/2020 16:31

Daisypond are you saying it's not safe to go out for a walk? I'm now worried I've put myself at risk by going for a walk in the park today for fresh air

If everyone just sticks to the guidelines we can beat this sooner!

It's not the sticking to the guidelines it's the fact that some people on here are making their own up because they don't like the official ones ( and that goes for being both less and more restrictive)
