Extend Sunday trading hours?

I think the government should abandon the Sunday trading laws temporarily, to try and reduce the impact of the panic buying that is endemic in most places. I don't know how much difference it will make, but for some front line workers who have been working all out, it could help.

It won’t reduce the panic buying, it will just give those in a blind panic an extra day to shop. Give the poor shop workers some rest time, many are working overtime already as they are also affected by illness. Specific times for key workers to do their shopping may be the way forward or guaranteed click and collect slots

Totally agree with this.

People will pretend to be key workers and take the slots, there are too many inconsiderate people around.

As other people are losing their jobs, surely the supermarkets can temporarily increase employment to ensure existing workers are able to still get adequate rest?
